Naturally Connected

The July 2018 winner of our Capturing Connections competition, Yuri Jaremus, is an emerging photographer from New South Wales. His love of photography was discovered when his wife purchased him a Powershot SX50HS for Christmas many years ago. Some photographs from the Naturally Connected gallery were captured with that first camera.

Jaremus’ creative interpretation of ‘connection’ embodies love, a sense of belonging, living life and enjoying the natural world. His gallery below focuses on the connectivity that is interwoven in humanity, nature and the space mankind has created in-between.

Jaremus’ photography focuses on simplicity, yet captures the detail of his subject. He says, “I wanted to photograph large and open scenes, as well as detailed up-close shots with the main highlight being nature and how humans connect with it.”
